The DIATOMACEOUS EARTH MINE

Mined in the heart of West Australia

Our Diatomaceous Earth is mined in the heart of Western Australia. The mines, owned by Hudson Diatomaceous Earth Pty Ltd allow Aus Diatomaceous Earth to guarantee reliable supply through access to multiple mines with an overall resource deposit of approx 3.5 million tonnes. One of the largest mines can be found 2 hours north of Perth, Western Australia, near a small town called Badgingarra in the Wheatbelt region.

The Diatomite deposits occupy scattered, shallow ephemeral lake depressions. The thickness of the deposits is between 2 to 4 metres and individual deposits varying in size from 4000 tonnes up to 550,000 tonnes.

Historically, the prospective deposits have been explored and tested by Hudson Resources (formerly known as Mallina Holdings Limited), BHP Ltd and Jones-Manville International Corporation (a Diatomite producer in the USA.) Field exploration, laboratory testing and ore reserve calculations have been completed by these companies with promising findings on the Diatomaceous Earths applications.
